We were excited to receive our plate carrier from Shellback as soon as we ordered it. The customer service we received was excellent. We corresponded with Shellback through Facebook and they helped us decide which carrier best fit our needs.

When we received the carrier, we first recognized the attention to detail and the craftsmanship put into the carrier. We immediately loaded it up with plates and pouches. We added a feature we haven’t in the past which was a holster for when we were in a seated position on a protection detail and it was difficult to get to our thigh rig. The carrier is easy to put on and adjust. It was very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Some carriers have buckles on the shoulders that can get in the way of shouldering a long gun. This one did not. Even if you did shoulder your weapon in a hurry, the buckles were covered and you could still get a clean shot off. Just takes some training with the carrier.

Our version did not come with a drag handle, but that has since been changed with their updated model at no additional charge.

The one thing that stood out about the carrier was the lifetime warranty on the carrier. No matter what, if you scrapped it, nicked it, burned it, drug it, or simply thought it was “worn out”…..just return it.

This carrier is a tactical bargain, and backed by a company that cares about the user.
